Responsibilities

Development

I started as a software engineer for NA e-Commerce "Showroom" working as a front-end developer on a React application for reimagining the buying experience for customers and ordering their Ford vehicles online. I then moved to the PD IT - Safety Innovation Lab as a full-stack software engineer assisting in the development of applications for running/scheduling crash tests. I also developed an iOS application, "PAULS", to create a method of securely and conveniently capturing photos and videos, labeling them, and storing them in a secure internal database. I now work as a Software Engineer in Ford Pro as a front-end developer to help design, engineer, and develop the front-end interfaces used for fordpro.com.

Methods

I work with an end-to-end, full-stack mindset to solve business problems with IT solutions. I pair with other software engineers to deliver features that customers desire. I utilize Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) methodologies. We design and engineer CI/CD pipelines and deploy with cloud tools such as GCP to ensure a seamless experience for our end-users

Technologies

We develop solutions using ReactJS, Figma, Google Cloud Portal (GCP), etc. We use a full set of technologies to support our products and support our customers. The industry is constantly changing, and we are constantly adopting new technologies to pivot accordingly

Previous Positions

May 2019 - July 2019 — Product Design Intern
June 2020 - July 2020 — Product Design Intern (Remote)

Before my time as a Ford College Graduate, I completed two separate internships with Ford Motor Company both in Product Design.

Usability Testing

I conducted Usability Testing on Ford Electric Vehicle owners for the enrollment process of the Ford Grid Integration Program. I developed usability tests with usertesting.com and conducted an analysis on the data and presented it to the team and stakeholders.

UX Design

I gathered needs from stakeholders to design and create a mock-up of the un-enrollment process for the Ford Grid Integration program. Due to NDAs, I am not able to include any designs on this page.

Project Management

I managed a small team working to conduct research on the effects of globalized domains on search engine optimization (SEO). Together, we developed a domain naming strategy for the “Ford Member Account” single sign-on webpage.
